Ant Anstead is putting James Marsden to work!

In an exclusive peek at Monday’s episode of Celebrity IOU: Joyride, the 47-year-old West World actor works hard to help automotive experts Anstead, 42, and Cristy Lee, 37, disassemble and restore a vintage car as a surprise gift for his brother-in-law.

At the opening of the clip, Anstead, who previously hosted Wheeler Dealers and appeared on ex Christina Haack’s HGTV show Christina on the Coast, passes along a door from an older vehicle to Marsden, who quickly starts to lift it as though it is a free weight.

Vanessa Hudgens, James Marsden, Kimiko Glenn Star in Netflix’s ‘My Little Pony: A New Generation’

Crayen      news      Comments Off on Vanessa Hudgens, James Marsden, Kimiko Glenn Star in Netflix’s ‘My Little Pony: A New Generation’

“High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens will lead the voice cast of “My Little Pony: A New Generation,” a Netflix film based on the popular children’s toy line.

The animated adventure’s cast will also include Kimiko Glenn (“Orange Is the New Black”) and James Marsden (“Enchanted”), with the two playing Izzy Moonbow and Hitch Trailblazer. Hudgens will put her spin on Sunny Starscout — these ponies have quite the surnames.

Entertainment One is backing the film, which debuts on Netflix on September 24, 2021, at which point it will delight parents and kids by joining a heavy rotation of other animated fare. The film was originally intended to be distributed theatrically by Paramount Pictures, but due to the COVID pandemic, those plans were altered and the project wound up at Netflix.

Actor James Marsden Plays Watchmaker In IWC Film

Crayen      news      Comments Off on Actor James Marsden Plays Watchmaker In IWC Film

It isn’t every day that an actor plays a watchmaker. In fact, American actor and singer James Marsden is used to playing roles in drama movies like The Notebook, adventure roles in the X-Men series, and even starring in the dark comedy, Dead to Me, currently on Netflix and in the sci-fi show Westworld, among dozens of others. However, in the recently released drama video, “Born of a Dream: A Man of the Future,” Marsden plays Florentine Ariosto Jones, the American founder of IWC Schaffhausen. Recently, in a one-on-one interview, Marsden, an IWC brand ambassador, shared his thoughts about playing this role and how time influences all he does.

The IWC film is the newest addition to the brand’s “Born of a Dream” series intended to highlight the lives of extraordinary people who followed their dreams in the face of adversity. F.A. Jones is a prime example. In the movie, Marsden portrays the young Jones (complete with scenes from the Civil War that he fought in) who pursues a dream of creating a global watch brand by marrying American industrial technology with Swiss craftsmanship. Marsden aptly captures the excitement and trepidation Jones experiences throughout the journey from Boston to Switzerland, and the establishment of the International Watch Company, IWC, Schaffhausen. The video can be viewed here.

“Normally, my involvement with IWC doesn’t include acting or film-making, so it was a cool opportunity to share with the world the story of F.A. Jones and the birth of IWC,” says Marsden. “As an actor, I only want to be involved if I feel there is a compelling story to be told and this one intrigued me. I have always been fascinated with watchmaking and the craftsmanship that goes into it and so this resonated with me. We all want to pursue our dreams and hope they come true. This tale of a man who had a vision and bet on himself when the odds were against him, and overcame plenty of obstacles, I like those themes. That’s the journey of life. You have to find your path and find your passion and have the courage and determination to go for it. So, for me to be able to lend my skills as an actor, it was a nice little marriage there.”

‘The Boss Baby: Family Business’: Jeff Goldblum, James Marsden, Eva Longoria, Ariana Greenblatt & Amy Sedaris Join Alec Baldwin In DreamWorks Animation Sequel

Crayen      news      Comments Off on ‘The Boss Baby: Family Business’: Jeff Goldblum, James Marsden, Eva Longoria, Ariana Greenblatt & Amy Sedaris Join Alec Baldwin In DreamWorks Animation Sequel

The Boss Baby is back and this time it’s a family affair. DreamWorks Animation has added Jeff Goldblum, James Marsden, Eva Longoria, Ariana Greenblatt, and Amy Sedaris to the voice cast of the upcoming Boss Baby sequel, which has officially been titled The Boss Baby: Family Business. Alec Baldwin is returning as Boss Baby Ted, with Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow also reprising the roles of Ted’s parents.

Tom McGrath, who directed the 2017 installment, which earned more than $500 million worldwide and was nominated for an Oscar, is back to direct the sequel with producer Jeff Hermann.

The new chapter sees the Templeton brothers — Tim (Marsden) and his Boss Baby little bro Ted (Baldwin) — as adults now who have drifted away from each other. Tim is now a married dad and Ted is a hedge fund CEO. But a new boss baby with a cutting-edge approach and a can-do attitude is about to bring them together again and inspire a new family business.

How ‘Dead to Me’ Resurrected James Marsden for its Wild Season 2

Crayen      news      Comments Off on How ‘Dead to Me’ Resurrected James Marsden for its Wild Season 2

The title of Netflix’s dark comedy “Dead to Me” suggests that mortality is a relative state, but it’s still a bit surprising to see James Marsden — whose character ends season one face down in a swimming pool — return for season two.

It wouldn’t be “Dead to Me” if there wasn’t a twist. Marsden is no longer playing Steve, Judy’s (Linda Cardellini) wealthy, aggressive former fiance. Instead, he’s Ben: Steve’s sweet, dorky, not-quite-identical twin brother.

In the latest episode of Netflix’s “Scene Stealers,” Marsden joins “Dead to Me” casting directors Sherry Thomas and Russell Scott to discuss the unusual casting coup that changed the stakes of creator Liz Feldman’s half-hour show.

X-Men Star James Marsden Open to Another Superhero Role Under Marvel

Crayen      interview ,news      Comments Off on X-Men Star James Marsden Open to Another Superhero Role Under Marvel

Former X-Men star James Marsden is “totally open” to rejoining the franchise under Marvel Studios, who is expected to reboot the mutants when introducing the characters into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marsden portrayed Scott Summers, a.k.a. concussive blast-firing team leader Cyclops, in 2000’s X-Men and 2003’s X2: X-Men United before the character met his end at the hands of corrupted lover Jean Grey (Famke Janssen) in 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand. Cyclops was prematurely killed at the behest of then-owners 20th Century Fox because Marsden had limited availability due to following X-Men and X2 director Bryan Singer to the DC Comics universe in Superman Returns, where Marsden played Richard White.

Marsden next stars as Green Hills sheriff Tom Wachowski in Sonic the Hedgehog, but would the 46-year-old actor seize an opportunity to return to the X-Men universe as a different character?

“Sure. It might be weird to be one thing to sort of rejoin Marvel or rejoin DC or something like that, but to actually rejoin X-Men as a different character might feel a little strange. But I would be open to it,” Marsden told ComicBook.com in an exclusive interview. “I mean, that was a world I have great respect for and [I’m] very grateful to be a part of that family for a long period of time. It’s one of those special moments in my career and I would totally be open to that.”

Disney’s Enchanted 2: James Marsden Breaks Silence on Sequel Rumors

Crayen      news      Comments Off on Disney’s Enchanted 2: James Marsden Breaks Silence on Sequel Rumors

As Walt Disney Studios continues to expand its library with reboots, remakes, and original projects for the big screen and the new Disney+ streaming service, there are a lot of popular franchises being revived or given sequels over the coming years. But the fan-favorite Amy Adams-starring film Enchanted has remained untouched since its original released over a decade ago. While there have been rumblings of a sequel to the modern fairy tale mashup flick, Disney has yet to move forward and formalize plans for a sequel.

ComicBook.com’s Chris Killian had the opportunity to speak with actor James Marsden, who played Prince Edward in Enchanted, and prodded him about the status of the long-rumored sequel.

“The odds are probably less so on [Enchanted 2] because they’ve been talking about making that movie for a while but I hope so, I hope we make it,” Marsden explained. “I think they’re trying to get the script right. And I think Amy’s interested, we haven’t really spoken about it but I keep I keep hearing about it. But I also don’t- you know, we’ve been fooled before that it was gonna happen, it didn’t happen. We should do it before we get too long in the tooth.”
