Crayen interviewComments Off on James Marsden hints when ‘long-awaited’ sequel Disenchanted will be out
X-Men actor James Marsden, 48, on playing peacemaker as a kid, dragging up for his daughter and the sequel to 2007’s Enchanted.
You’re in the new Boss Baby sequel. Why do you think the first film was so popular?
I have three kids and, when it came out, it was the only thing we watched together for a good three months. That’s not hyperbole – my kids were obsessed.

James Marsden returns as the cartoon-turned-live-action Prince Edward. Also back for the sequel are Amy Adams as Giselle, Patrick Dempsey as Robert Phillip, and Idina Menzel as Nancy Tremaine.
‘Disenchanted’ was filmed right here in Ireland with locations across Dublin and Wicklow transformed for the shoot.
James Marsden currently stars in family animation ‘The Boss Baby: Family Business’ so we chatted to him about his latest and about ‘Disenchanted’.
Crayen audio ,interviewComments Off on Empire Podcast #487: Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson, James Marsden
The spice must flow on this week’s Empire Podcast. The spice of chat, that is! We have three belting interviews lined up for you lucky lot this week, as Chris Hewitt talks to The Guilty star Jake Gyllenhaal in which one of them threatens to go topless; Dune‘s Lady Jessica herself, Rebecca Ferguson, during which she and Chris hatch a new get-rich-quick scheme; and James Marsden, star of The Boss Baby 2. And, as the original big screen Cyclops, naturally the interview ends with Chris showing Marsden a picture of Cyclops with an… unusual mask.
Then, in the podbooth, Chris is joined by Helen O’Hara, James Dyer, and Amon Warmann for an epic episode in which they tackle several questions at once, including one that covers the great Eternals Post-Credits Sting Spoilers Controversy. They also discuss the week’s movie news (this was recorded on Wednesday, ahead of the tragic events on the set of Rust), and review new releases The French Dispatch, Dear Evan Hansen, and The Harder They Fall. Oh, and a little film called Dune. Surprisingly, the James-and-Helensplaining is kept to a minimum on this one. That’s what spoiler specials are for. In the meantime, enjoy.
Crayen interview ,videoComments Off on James Marsden on’The Boss Baby: Family Business’, being the cool dad and returning 15 years later for Disenchanted
Four years since Alec Baldwin’s Ted aka Boss Baby delighted audiences young and old, its long-awaited sequel is about to get its UK release.
With James Marsden taking over the role of an adult Tim, we got the chance to catch up with the actor to chat about the making of the movie and his return to the character of Prince Edward in the sequel ‘Disenchanted.’
In the sequel to DreamWorks Animation’s Oscar®-nominated blockbuster comedy, the Templeton brothers—Tim (James Marsden) and his Boss Baby little bro Ted (Alec Baldwin)—have become adults and drifted away from each other. Tim is now a married stay-at-home dad. Ted is a hedge fund CEO. But a new boss baby with a cutting-edge approach and a can-do attitude is about to bring them together again … and inspire a new family business.
Crayen interviewComments Off on James Marsden Teases ‘Enchanted’ Sequel ‘Disenchanted’
James Marsden is excited about his return to Andalasia! ET’s Matt Cohen spoke to the 48-year-old actor about Disenchanted, the highly-anticipated sequel to Enchanted, and Marsden expressed joy that the film finally got made, 15 years after the original flick’s release.
“They have been talking about making it for years,” said Marsden, who’s reprising his role of Prince Edward. “I got my hopes up many times before and recently I was like, ‘Sure, sure, they’re going to make it.’ And last year they said, ‘We are actually doing this,’ and they sent songs, and I am like, ‘OK, this is actually real.'”
“Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz did all of the music again, and Amy Adams [is] playing her great role as Princess Giselle,” he added. “It was a lot of fun getting back and working with Idina [Menzel] and getting the pipes back to working properly and the singing stuff.”

Ant Anstead is putting James Marsden to work!
In an exclusive peek at Monday’s episode of Celebrity IOU: Joyride, the 47-year-old West World actor works hard to help automotive experts Anstead, 42, and Cristy Lee, 37, disassemble and restore a vintage car as a surprise gift for his brother-in-law.
At the opening of the clip, Anstead, who previously hosted Wheeler Dealers and appeared on ex Christina Haack’s HGTV show Christina on the Coast, passes along a door from an older vehicle to Marsden, who quickly starts to lift it as though it is a free weight.
Crayen newsComments Off on Vanessa Hudgens, James Marsden, Kimiko Glenn Star in Netflix’s ‘My Little Pony: A New Generation’
“High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens will lead the voice cast of “My Little Pony: A New Generation,” a Netflix film based on the popular children’s toy line.
The animated adventure’s cast will also include Kimiko Glenn (“Orange Is the New Black”) and James Marsden (“Enchanted”), with the two playing Izzy Moonbow and Hitch Trailblazer. Hudgens will put her spin on Sunny Starscout — these ponies have quite the surnames.
Entertainment One is backing the film, which debuts on Netflix on September 24, 2021, at which point it will delight parents and kids by joining a heavy rotation of other animated fare. The film was originally intended to be distributed theatrically by Paramount Pictures, but due to the COVID pandemic, those plans were altered and the project wound up at Netflix.
Crayen newsComments Off on James Marsden and Idina Menzel Will Return For ‘Disenchanted’
A few months back, we exclusively reported that Patrick Dempsey would be returning alongside Amy Adams in the long-in-development Enchanted sequel, Disenchanted. Now, news has come that more stars from the original are set to return.
In a recent via Zoom, composer Alan Menken confirmed that James Marsden and Idina Menzel would both be returning for the animated/live-action sequel as Prince Edward and Nancy Tremaine. You can check out the full interview below, where Menken also discusses the highly-anticipated live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, which is currently filming in London.
Adam Shankman of Hairspray and the upcoming Hocus Pocus sequel is set to direct. Also returning are Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz to write new songs for the film. We are also hearing that the character of Morgan, Robert’s daughter, will be returning as well, though no casting has been confirmed. The studio is also looking for an actress to play a new villain in the film.
