James Marsden’s Stuck at Home Binge List
Many of us are spending this extra time at home catching up on shows we’ve long been meaning to binge-watch, movies we’ve been wanting to stream, books we’ve been meaning to read, or video games we’ve been waiting to play. And with the film industry on hiatus for the foreseeable future, that means even usually busy stars now have time to catch-up on their streaming queues and reading lists.
We reached out to Sonic the Hedgehog, Westworld, and X-Men actor James Marsden to see what he’s doing to keep himself entertained these days.
What Is the Last Thing You Finished Watching?
Just finished Schitt’s Creek. This show is such a hidden gem and just kept getting better and better. Catherine O’Hara, one of my longtime favorite actresses, fills every second of her screen time with hilarious brilliance.
What Are You Watching Right Now?
I’m mid-Season 3 of Westworld! It’s bizarre watching Dolores outside the park. Even more bizarre not standing next to her in her scenes!
What Is Your Go-to Comfort Watch?
My go-to comfort watch is always Curb Your Enthusiasm. I can always have it on. He is a great salve to anyone frustrated with society as he does and says the things we all wish we could. Long live Larry Long Balls!
What Book Are You Reading? / What Is The Last Book You Read?
Last book I read was the original publication of Stephen King’s The Stand. We just finished filming the limited series and I was getting myself re-acquainted with the book. Covid-19 is NOT Captain Tripps, but It’s an eerie feeling having just filmed it and reread the book, and living in this new reality for the moment.
What Game Are You Playing? / What Is The Last Game You Played?
My son and I have been playing Gran Turismo Sport. Trying to learn all of our favorite tracks around the world so that maybe we can get on them in a real race car someday.
What Is Next On Your To-Watch/Read/Play List?
Just started watching The Outsider. It’s Stephen King mania at the moment, and this, so far, is one of the best adaptations of his work yet. First episode blew me away and was expertly directed by Jason Bateman.
Check out Sonic the Hedgehog on digital now! Usually it would be another few months before it arrived on home video. Hopefully the early arrival of our little blue guy to digital will provide some easy family fun and laughs during a rough, uncertain time.
Sonic the Hedgehog is now on Digital and arrives on Blu-ray on May 19.
If you enjoyed this then check out what the showrunners of Amazing Stories and the cast of The Boys are binging, Spiral director Darren Lynn Bousman’s binge list, and Brian Michael Bendis’ stuck at home comic book reading list!
And also be sure to learn how you can help, and stay safe, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
