James Marsden And Anthony Hopkins Finally Have Premiere Date For HBO’s Westworld
Westworld, HBO’s sci-fi drama, has been suffering from many delays. However, the show has finally secured a premiere date with the ambitious series confirmed to be airing in October. The network also announced the season would consist of ten episodes.
Based on the film by Michael Crichton, “Westworld” stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright in a dark drama about the dawn of artificial intelligence. The series hails from Bad Robot Productions, Jerry Weintraub Productions and Kilter Films in association with Warner Bros. Television. Jonathan Nolan serves as executive producer, writer and director on the project, with Lisa Joy writing and executive producing. J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk also executive produce.
The announcement was revealed by the network today along with confirmation of Fall debuts three new comedy series – the Sarah Jessica Parker-led “Divorce,” the Issa Rae-led “Insecure” and the pot comedy “High Maintenance.”
